48. Parmenide bicefalo – Two-headed Parmenides (2/2)

In the end, if for Kant the truth of the phenomenon is the noumenon, how can we avoid that for Parmenides the truth of doxa is eon?
Kant’s reine Vernunft does not lead to the unveiling of the noumenon, but to the hypothesis of the existence of the noumenon. Thus, even if Kant never got involved, it would not be prohibitive to construct an ontology of the noumenon. Just as, even if Parmenides probably never got involved, it would not be prohibitive to construct a gnoseology of the two-headeds. Paradoxical to hilarity, indeed, but after twenty-three centuries the one could fill the gap of the other – a gap which probably looked like a gap to neither of them. Kant was not interested in telling the noumenon of the phenomenon, but it was irrecusable for Parmenides to tell the being of appearing. On the other side, Parmenides was not interested in describing the mechanisms by which two-headeds relate to Being (with one head) and to the appearance of Being (with the other head) – to Being-that-is not – but for Kant the transcendental deduction of categories was unavoidable.
Thus the bicephaly of Parmenides corresponds to the bipsychia, the radical fracture of the romantic soul, which Kant introduces and officiates. Thus the theology of the ego-subject-spirit corresponds to the theology of the eon with which Hegel will definitively bury Parmenides’ theorem in the funeral liturgy of his Science of Logic.
